Nodding Dog

638 Ways To Kill Fidel Castro
Nodding Dog is a South Yorkshire emerging artist company established in 2010. The company was formed to develop a network of collaborators in the region, with the intention of making original devised work across a variety of contexts. We have so far had the opportunity to present our work in traditional studio theatre spaces, self storage units, pubs, museums, parks and boats.

Currently in development – Holding area, set in a 31,000sq ft abandoned warehouse in Rotherham. Holding area is an individual ‘sonic journey’ for up to four passengers at a time; a collaborative devised site piece set in a potential post apocalyptic future. Work in progress showings due to take place November 2012.

Spiltmilk Dance

Picture
Spiltmilk Dance was formed in 2006 by artistic directors Sarah Devlin and Adele Wragg after it became apparent that they shared a common frustration with choreography that alienates those less engaged with dance. From this developed a desire to make work that is more widely accessible.

Spiltmilk Dance are passionate about engaging new audiences with their unique brand of dance performance. The company challenges the way contemporary dance is traditionally structured and unashamedly strives to bring it further into popular culture so it can be enjoyed by many.

Spiltmilk performed at Point Blank's event Performance Republic Barnsley on 30th June 2012, for more information on Spiltmilk and there up and coming shows please visit http://spiltmilkdance.co.uk.
